🌐 IP Geolocation

Layered lookup combining RDAP, Team Cymru BGP, RFC 8805 Geofeed, reverse-DNS pattern matching and PTR ccTLD. Shows every signal with confidence, and flags any disagreements.

How this works

Traditional IP geolocation relies on a single commercial database. This tool queries five independent public sources and shows you all of them alongside a reconciled best guess. When sources disagree, the conflict is surfaced explicitly rather than silently hidden.

  • RDAP — the registry's record for who was allocated this netblock, and where.
  • Team Cymru BGP — which AS is currently announcing this prefix on the global routing table.
  • Geofeed (RFC 8805) — the netblock owner's own published location data, if any.
  • rDNS pattern — airport / IATA codes and cloud-provider naming conventions in the PTR record.
  • PTR ccTLD — country hint from the top-level domain of the reverse DNS name.

Private, CGN, loopback and reserved ranges are not looked up — they wouldn't produce meaningful results. Every lookup is cached; hitting the same IP again within an hour uses the cached signals.
